I must — Must! — thank you most for the overall sense of awareness your Yes Days have instilled. What I take away most is how necessary and luxurious it is to pause in the midst of the hubbub, if only for a moment. I just paused massively in a hammock — some would call it napping — something I rarely allow myself to do in the work week. I am ready to go Yes it up some more now. I’ve enjoyed this journey — Thank you for the intense effort you put into it — and thanks to all who’ve shared some bit of their own reflections and discoveries along the way.” -Evan, Art Studio Owner

I started 30 Days of Yes a few days into the program because I was reluctant to try at first. “What if I don’t get it all done on time…” …”I don’t have enough time each day to dedicate” I was coming up with plenty of excuses NOT to do this for myself, but I jumped in anyways and I am glad I did! Each activity was fun, insightful, and I grew each day, plus each activity took 10 or 15 minutes! I definitely had time for that. So much has changed in the 30 days since the start of the program. I worked through a lot of “muck” in my life and started really seeing where I want to be and who I want to be. I took a stand at work, worked even harder at school, and took huge steps closer to becoming a Health Counselor!” –Courtney, Holistic Health Counselor

This program, after opening myself to the possibilities of being slightly uncomfortable with some of the exercises, allowed me to work through some of my own fears and shortcomings as a human. The continual work and discipline it takes to examine your thought and behaviors and emotions and feelings, while trying to eradicate the negative thoughts and fears with moving through them or against them, was invaluable for me. I am living freer, happier, and adventuring out into life more frequently.” –Trevor H., Professional basketball player

Whoa – just read my letter. I had ZERO recollection of what I had written as I had simply let it flow from my heart! And re-reading has just knocked my socks off. Incredibly prophetic! Who knew that such small-seeming strides for such small chunks of time (truly!) could yield so much good. I didn’t think it was possible to believe in this more whole-heartedly, but indeed I DO!!!” –Heather B., College Counselor

I have been so blessed by 30 Days of YES! The exercises were simple enough that I didn’t have to argue with myself to do them. Committing to each exercise gave focus and meaning to my day. And while they were simple, the exercises ended up having a profound effect on me. About three-fourths of the way through the 30 days, when I would step outside, I’d find myself feeling a love that didn’t require an object to bring it forth, it was present in everything. It was a feeling I’d never felt before and it was so exhilarating! I love the way these exercises can be continued in my days ahead, giving me new focus, and allowing me to work on the areas where I need to do better.” –Suzanne G., Care Specialist

30 Days of YES improved my life because of all that I gleaned from each exercise. There were things that I looked forward to doing and things that really stretched me. During the thirty days, I experienced a lot of transformation — mostly uncomfortable transformation because of big questions I was struggling with in my life. But, it turned out to be perfect timing and I am so grateful for all the wrestling. I am very appreciative of all the support from both our 30 Days of YES Facilitators and other participants. It was hard, extremely uncomfortable and messy, but great nonetheless. I don’t think I can quite measure the growth just yet, but I am grateful for the gentle unfoldment of my YES. And, I learned one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned yet — not to outline. This has brought about tremendous freedom throughout many areas of life.” –Heather L., Events Manager

.

My goal when the new year started was to better myself as a person. I have made this resolution many years before, but this year I was dedicated to making it a reality for myself. Through the purchase of morning meditation books, watching religious programs to provide a spiritual boost, and 30 Days of Yes every day. It really helped me focus on my goals and because of that, my work in January has made me a more complete and honest person.” –Jesse F., Theater Manager

.

The process of daily reflection as well as the unexpected assignments really kept me on my toes and on purpose. I enjoyed committing to the process and forcing myself to do things I wouldn’t normally do. The 30 days started on my 40th birthday and served as a uplifting way to implement a “fresh start” to both the new year and my next decade. I am excited to see where this fresh thinking and acting takes me.” –Ashley B.

30 Days of Yes improved my life by re-focusing and re-awakening me to what and who is important in my life. The journey stretched me emotionally and physically, and brought awareness to areas that needed some attention. The 30 days inspired me, entertained me, challenged me, and motivated me to focus my life on what kept appearing throughout the process as significant and important. I would highly recommend 30 Days of Yes. It is a journey worth taking.” –William T., Former Restaurant VP

.

I loved the 30 Days of YES program! The activities had great variety including a big focus on helping and thinking of others. The assignments pushed me and really made me think about the stuff that I tend to avoid. I also loved the community aspect of the program, knowing that others were also uniting to embrace YES and it was great to share insights through the blog and conference calls. Travis is a dynamic and sincere coach; he is a deep thinker, very approachable and easy to listen with, and lots of fun! I look forward to continue working on YES!” –Shelley

Because of YES! I live in a different place. I’m more purposeful in my life and I’m aware that I have the power to make my day what I want it to be. My gratitude list flowed so quickly, everything in my life turned into something to be grateful for. Even those things which 6 weeks ago were enormously challenging, turned up effortlessly on my gratitude list. So in a matter of a few short moments, I had 112 things on my list. When I sit down with it again, I’ll be adding more.” -Anonymous

.

I’ve been most inspired by the fact that despite all my craziness I’ve still found the little moments to follow through on every exercise. So I’ve found inspiration in the knowledge that I can follow through.” –Frank, Founding Artistic Director of Atlantic Arts Academy

It’s so darn easy to set intention and then let the days pass…and pass…and pass…and soon we’ve either forgotten the intention set before us, or we’ve wasted weeks/months/years with lots of good intentions that were never realized. Enter 30 Days of YES–30 days of setting intention and committing (with daily email help and a community of folks doing the same!) to follow through. I would like to say that every day’s commitment was easy, but it wasn’t. I would like to say that I loved every day’s assignment, but I didn’t. It took work, it took carving out 10-15 minutes or more, and staying the course on saying YES, boldly, loudly, with conviction! And I’m so grateful that I fought through the resistance, hesitations and other “No’s” that would arise to commit to this journey.” –Carol Ann
